Ultrafiltration system

Ultrafiltration is one of the baromembrane methods of water purification. Under certain pressure, the water entering the ultrafiltration unit passes through a semipermeable membrane and is divided into two streams. One of these "concentrate" streams contains all the impurities and bacteria whose size exceeds the pore size of the ultrafiltration membrane. The second stream contains purified water.

Often the method of ultrafiltration is used not independently, but as one of the elements of the technological scheme of water purification.

Also, the ultrafiltration process is widely used in the dairy industry; in particular, in the treatment of milk whey, in order to obtain a whey protein concentrate and lactose. In one pass on the UV module, the whey can be concentrated 10 to 30 times.
